There must be more! – Why aren’t I experiencing more?
Have you ever wondered why you’re not experiencing ‘more’? More – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control over situations that seem to occur over and over again? What if your ‘just enough’ is the dregs of God’s ‘more’?
We have an uncanny way of settling for mediocrity in so many areas simply because we are unwilling to make room for the best. The ability to make room is directly tied to your ability to admit and acknowledge that you can’t do it all, and don’t have it all. If you can do this – you can begin to make room for ‘the more’.
There is an economy for this – meaning a realm of something that exists already – that can satisfy this need and desire. It is the Kingdom of God. At the heart of this Kingdom is a King. And the Kings heart is able and willing to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” – Eph. 3:20
Capacity issues are sometimes the hardest to admit. We think we’re super human and often keep going until we burn out or hit the wall. It is impossible to experience more without relinquishing something first. What is that for you?
