Trust is the Test
Trust and Do. Dwell and Feed. “Trust [rely on and have confidence] in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and feed [securely]on His faithfulness.” – Psalms 37 Trust is a multi-dimensional process. Of all the human expressions trust is (possibly) the hardest. Trust goes against everything that you feel in your heart to do (naturally). It requires an intentionalcommitment that is forged from our identity in Christ. Since we know that you can’t give what you don’t have – receiving trust is the foundationfor building trust within. Ready for the good stuff? “On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel (the good news). We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.” – 1 Thessalonians 2:4 Everything that requires an action by us, already has an empowerment from God. That testing, according to the verse from 1 Thessalonians, is not done to show that something or someone will fail, but to demonstrate that that someone has passed the test. What is the test? Trust and do good. When you trust good is the multi-faceted result. Dwell and feed. Dwelling is a demonstration of trust, rest and confidence that you have everything you need for your life. One final result of trust cultivated, and trust demonstrated is… “But the humble will [at last] inherit theland And will delight themselves inabundant prosperity and peace.” Abundant prosperity and peace to you asyou TRUST in the Lord.
